you can import them from existing files on many websites or output one you make with the creation tool and modify it in midi software basically the easiest way to modify them is to output them to .abc file format and modify the letter notes then convert those back into a midi, its also useful if a midi has multiple tracks to separate the relevant tracks (remove percussion track) then merge the relevant tracks into 1 midi track then it ports into music box much better, another thing to keep in mind is the octave its in we can transpose that midi file or change what key its in to make it in a octave or range that best suits the output of our target instrument ( in this case our music box) :) I use starbound composer for all the above tasks :)
to transpose 1 octave up or down you want to move it exactly 12 semitones ( there are 12 semitones in each octave we can transpose to and try) to move up 1 octave to a higher key i would transpose it UP 12 to lower it an octave to a lower key i transpose the midi file DOWN 12 semitones (one octave)
