How do you do that? like enhance the song to be so much more elaborate than it normally is? (if you dont mind my asking)

hey gw2 home slice, The way i do that is if the midi track seems simple enough and a rather basic melody, I use a tool called Starbound Composer, I load the midi file up 2 (sometimes even 3) times in the program. (the same song file loaded 2 times in 2 seperate tracks now on my screen) then i edit each track. For the top track i transpose it 12 semitones (or 1 octave) up and for the second track i leave it where it is OR transpose it DOWN 12 semitones depends on what sounds best, Lastly to give the sort of echo note effect I place a Z1/4 or z1/2 at the start of the top track this gives it that "music box sound" where notes come in 2 octaves rather than 1 seperated by a short rest between them. As a result what you get is that "musicboxed" sound for your melody! Hope it helps out bud, Happy creating.

Also after those edit i liked to merge the 2 tracks into one and if i am using it in gw2 i add "major qualifier" to reduce the number of accents in the song. This is an important step as our in game harp has just 3 octaves and it has NO SUPPORT for accented notes other than c' so you want to keep this in mind for converting it to Ahk for guild wars 2 playback. I just composed a song as an example for you here https://musicboxmaniacs.com/explore/melody/pythagoras-one-step-farther-than-two-steps-back_92703/ in this case i used a 1/4 rest on the top track of the 2 tracks and raised the top track 12 semitones from where i composed it. Youll notice how right after a note of the melody hits it is followed by its next octave counterpart a note exactly 12 semitones or 1 octave away from the one that proceeded it. THIS is the "music box effect" your ear hears but cannot quite make out how it is done. Thats the best i can describe it. Hope that helps clarify things perhaps ill make a video tutorial on that. Its something Ben showed me how to do long ago.

I think if you check gw2musicbox.blogspot.com ben compiled a app that has like 2600 songs you can play and in that is a list with a ton of GNR songs the community has done both here and on the gw2 scene music domains being its all music box relevent, Ben will be all over it.! :)
