Words and Music by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins. Gene Autry recorded "Frosty" in 1951 and that cute little snowman did more than "dance around." He took right off and sold more than a million discs for Columbia Records. It's easy to imagine a snowman coming to life, and fortunately for all of us, Frosty does just that every holiday season. (If you want both the first and second verses for your music box then make two copies of the song and in between measures 36 and 37 insert measures 5 through 36 as this is a repeat for verse two before the conclusion of thumpity-thump-thump which is measures 37 through 44.) Hope that wasn't confusing! Happy Punching!
Words and Music by J Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie Comedian Eddie Cantor introduced this song on his radio show in 1934, and it became an instant hit. Interestingly, the composers couldn't find a publisher when they wrote it two years earlier, because everyone thought it was just a "kiddie" song. All children know that they have to be good especially at Christmastime, if they expect Santa to pay them a visit.
