Thank you! My procedure with songs I really enjoy is to get them as accurate as possible on the FR60 setting, and then adapt them to GI30F and make necessary changes so it still sounds good.

May I ask, do you make your melodies just by listening to the songs, or should I say, playing it by ear? Or do you look at sheet music?

I primarily just listen to the songs. I have perfect pitch, so I can hear the notes in each chord and transcribe them after hearing it a few times. I never really got that far with original music, though!
