What strikes me as somewhat peculiar about the entire scene is the lack of correspondence between the notes of the music box and the printing on the perforated strips in the 30-note models.
All printed blank strips with 30 tones that I have found (whether as individual strips or as a roll) start from "G" as the keynote, with the additional lower bass tones "D" (dominant) and "C" (subdominant):
However, all 30-note music box models I have found (I own three: one from Teanola and two without manufacturer information) play "C" as the root note with the additional lower bass notes "G" (dominant) and "F" (subdominant).

Where does this difference come from? Did someone start printing it wrong and everyone else copied it without ever hearing a corresponding music box? Or was there actually ever a 30-tone music box model with “G” as its fundamental tone?
Incidentally, the music editor on this page supports both variants: * "Grand Illusions 30" means the "G"-based version (of which only prints exist, but no music boxes) * "Grand Illusions 30 (F scale)" means the "C"-based version (that matches the music boxes, but for which there are no preprinted strips)
