This site is awesome for DIY strip music boxes, but does anyone know of an equivalent resource for creating custom 7" diameter paper discs for Sankyo or Mr. Christmas music box players? Thanks!
Hey, thanks for posting this. It would be pretty easy for us to support new scales in the melody editor and adding an option to export disk templates sounds like a lot of fun. However, there isn't much information about the music boxes you've mentioned available online. Do you happen to own one of them? And could you please tell us a little more about these music boxes, in particular the scale and where to buy them. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your response! Unfortunately I've only been able to find the mechanisms by scavenging old music boxes. I know they were manufactured by Sankyo but have not been able to find them for sale online. I'll try to find some more info (even though the audience for this is very limited)
