Do the 30-note C and F scale boxes have the same note layout?

I was recently gifted a 30-note Grand Illusions (F scale) and found that many of the songs on this site are created for the C scale version of the same box. If I punched out an arrangement in C, would my box play the same thing just in F? The melody editor changes notes when transposing to the F scale version, but the papers I have tell me that all the notes are the same just transposed a fourth up.

If they have the same interval layout, is there any real reason to change the notes when transposing in the melody editor? I feel like it's throwing me off for no reason. It could be something I'm missing, pls let me know.
