Hello, I have a question maybe stupid but I'm new here. I have a 15 notes music box and I have a 104 holes paper strips as everyone I guess. I find some songs but there are too longs in terms of paper; have for example 96 notes but need 120 holes for did that. Here an example: https://musicboxmaniacs.com/explore/melody/we-wish-you-a-merry-christmas_2248/ Exist a way to reduce that for fit the music to 104 holes? Maybe I bought the worng paper... Thank you very much really :)
Just you know im also new in music box, i might not be the best help. and i dont really understand your question. that 96 notes Christmas song can fit in the 104 notes paper strip. thats what i think. Why does it need 120 notes paper? if a song has more notes than your paper strip can hold, you can tape with a another paper strip to make it longer. i used the method from this video to tape and cut it together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjBhO9iqEc0
I've taken a second strip and carefully trimmed it so I could tape them together and lengthen the strip. I butted the ends together (not overlapped) and taped on both sides. Worked fine.

You can try to scale the printout of a tune in just one direction and lay the printout on the cardstock ignoring the vertical lines.
Or you can put the holes in at 1/2 the distances and crank half as slow (maybe)?
I'd suggest buying a roll of the catdstock on Amazon though. Works best.
