First of all thanks for this nice feature of creating melodies.
However, every time I upload my MIDI file, my notes are randomly positioned in the grid. Oftentimes they just sit two or four beats further than thy are supposed, but it still means, that I have to go through the whole song and rearrange everything. When I am finally done (and I am saving continuously) and revisit my project at a later point, everything is messed up again.
Also, in the settings I chose the 30 note layout and it just got reverted to 60. (reverting it back to 30 again doesn't help unfortunately)
Can you explain this behaviour? Any thoughts on how to fix this?

What you've described looks like two different problems: floating tempo/rhythm bug with MIDI import and some issue with saving melodies. The problem with rhythm is, unfortunately, well known, and we've tried fixing it a few times already without any luck. But as about the second problem, it is the first time when I hear that somebody is having difficulties while saving melodies.
