Hi! I now bought my second 30-note music box due to the first one being out of tune, and it appears the second one is out of tune as well! I created a melody using this website and when I transfer the notes onto my music box tape, it sounds completely different than what’s on the website. Any suggestions? Maybe I’m doing something wrong, thanks!
I think I might know what you're talking about. Does it sound like your box is playing the song accurately, but in the wrong key? Most (if not all) GI30s are 5 semitones (or the interval of a 4th) off. You can correct this issue by using the GI30F option when creating tunes here on MBM; that way, all your songs will be in the same key as you hear them when playing the audio or creating them on this site.
I figured it out a few days ago! The notes printed on the paper strips did not correlate to the notes that the music box played. Thanks for you response!
