I would like to output a note-by-note text description of my song in order to feed it to generative AI models like chatGPT, but I don't know if any of the formats provided would get me close. I can't seem to figure it out, am I missing something obvious?
I think what you're looking for might be converting a .midi file to .txt, and for that I found this tool you can download: github.com/hallsville3/midi_to_plain_text . However, I would guess there might be some issues getting Chat GPT to output valid midi given an input and asked to generate a variant.
