I know most of us don't create melodies using the provided "create" but import midi file instead. However, it would be great if we have some new functions to encourage people to use it, such as: be able to select a certain range of notes and move them up and down or adjust the spacing (right now we can only adjust the spacing of the whole song, I think), also if range selecting is available, it is better to have a copy and paste function for repeating melody.
P/s: really appreciate that the consecutive notes are highlighted, so it is easier for people to make some adjustment since repeating note within 1/4 won't work in the actualy music box :))
Hey @AlkaidxEtaUma, thanks for the suggestions. In fact, the ability of selecting and batch editing notes is the number one most requested feature. The biggest challenge with it is to support both scrolling and selecting notes on touch devices. We plan to update the editor in near future, so maybe this will be one of the improvements :)
I'd love it if we could copy and paste whole sections. My first piece, I had repeats to copy. Could not figure out how so I just rekeyed it in. Would be a lot easier if you could high light a section and copy it then paste to the end.
been wondering the same thing too. a copy-and-paste feature would be a tremendous help ! also if you could allow us to add a mark/symbol/remark at a bar eg "Intro", "Verse 1", "Chorus"....
I use the create function a lot and maybe i´d publish something with a copy paste function. My projects are always a mess because for repeatet sections i just leave some space and go on with the next part.
Another idea: Is it possible put the actual tamplate of the paper stripes in create? In my opinion it would be easyer to transfer the melodies to the paper stipes when the notes would be on actual lines.
Maybe also a "free" function for notes so you can offset them for chords or triplets.
Last idea: Default melody type Grand Illusion 30 (F scale). I think that´s what most people use (or K15?)
Anyways, i love the Create section! Don´t know what i would do without it!

True, that will save at least half of the time for creating such a repeated rhythm.

I also think that a "free" function would be great to get arpeggios (chords). Arpeggios are very nice to play on music boxes :)
