My music box (K15) works fine and doesn’t stop as much on the paper sold with the box but I wanted to try to make a longer one using regular paper and ‘laminating’ it with tape. The tape makes it so that the puller will just slide over it and not properly pull the paper? Any suggestions to help me fix it?
I don't have a lot of experience with paper strips. But maybe try masking tape? Or another non-shiny tape. Of course, sadly, I don't believe that will laminate it...But depending on the tape, it might still protect it enough to be okay. Sorry that I can't say anything for sure.
I see you can get a huge, long roll of the paper, so you can make it as long as you need without the need to splice pieces together. I got a roll for my 30-note box. It's 50m long. I might do Beethoven's entire 9th Symphony on it.

Hey Thank you! it worked much better with a layer of masking tape on the top of it!
It's no problem! I'm glad it worked!
