I have printed the paper strips but it's not thick enough. Consequently, the sound is weeker than original paper's one. What is the problem? The paper scale, huh?
Hello! I have a similar problem. Unfortunately my country doesnt allow to order things from abroad so i cant buy the paper. I have been trying to print it. I tried witht a lot of different papers. I have found one witht eh right thickness BUT the paper is not strong enough. It is too easy to punch and because of that is easily broken or compressed by the music box. I noticed the original paper is stronger, more like cardboard. Does anyone know which kind of paper it is or a good replacement? Thank you very much!
IT has to do with how thick the paper is. Normal typing paper is rated about 10 lb, I also ran into this issue and ordered some 48 lb card stock.
But it seems that the normal "Blank Paper Strips" that are pre-printed for this are about twice the thickness of the 48 lb paper. I am going to try some 80 lb paper and see if that works. It is more expensive, the 80 lb sheets are about 25 cents each.
