I want to make a music box for my friends B-Day. I found the notes here but I'm not sure which Notes / Music box (Kikkerland, grand illusion, wintergatan) I need. It says: Type = Full range 60 But I don't know what this means and which box and notes are the right one.
It should be as similar to the example here as possible. Should I choose a different song? Or will it be possible
wintergatan 20: Wintergatan (a guy, band and youtubechannel you must check out) customised his own 'grand illusions 20' by adding more mass to some notes. WARNING: Don't come too close to the massive rabbit hole he made around musicbox music, always use proper precautions to minimise the risk of falling into an endless abyss. There be dragons!

15, 20, 30 and 60 depends on the music box you have or want to purchase, it's simply the range of notes. So more notes = more range
Well, here is a quick guide:
full range 60: There are no known sellers of 60 note music boxes (for paper strips), but it's nice to play most music without boundaries.
kikkerland 15: Small instruments perfect for simple melodies (very limited range of notes), these are for sale on the store and other
websites.
grand illusions 20: less common than the 15 and 30 note, a bit more range, available on the grand illusions website.
grand illusions 30: the largest music box we can get our hands on, also available in the store and elsewhere.
grand illusions 30 (F scale): exactly the same instrument, but the notation is, contrary to the regular paper strips, in true pitch!
