I recently bought a Kikkerland DIY music box (15 notes) and started using the tool to make melodies. However, for some reason, the tunes don't work? The first (and only, since I don't want to waste the notepaper) song I made was this one ( [suspicious link] ) but when I play it through the music box it doesn't sound right. I just hear random tunes but no distinct song. What am I doing wrong? How can I do it correctly?
+ question: how do I read the music sheet? I understood the blue X's, but what are the numbers at the bottom? How do I know which part of the song is which part of the music sheet? Thank you!!
(Yes this is my first time making any kind of DIY music box sheet; any additional advice is also appreciated. Thanks again!!)
Hello! I can´t see what you did. The website only says "suspicious link". So this may also be a suspicious link: https://ibb.co/D5xmm9T
In this case this may work: htt ps://ibb.c o/D5xmm9T
It shows in what places to punch the holes (directly on the lines). You may put them inbetween the lines? Another Idea: Put the sheet upside down in the music box.
If you put the link in your profile i should be able to open it, than i may can actually help you :D
(I put spaces before and after the website link; can you copy it now and remove the spaces?) Before anything, thank you so much! I'll try it upside down, but I'm sure I punched the holes exactly. I can share images of the paper if you'd like.
First of all you were using the full range 60 melody type in "Create" on a 15 note music box sheet, you can change the melody type to Kikkerland 15 in the settings. A lot of notes will be lost, because you were using notes, that doesn´t exist on the 15 note box. With a bit of rearranging it should work! Sad for all the work you put into it. Second the box can´t play fast repeated notes, so you can´t play the red notes.
I don´t know, what you like! I´d recommend to go to "Explore" and search for songs you like or listen to trending or popular melodies, that are marked as "K15".

Ohhh, I see it now ... thank you! That makes more sense. I really appreciate it!
(Additionally - but totally optional - if you know any 15-note tunes that are nice feel free to share. Thanks!)
