Good news everyone. We have added Melody Requests section. From now if you want to create a custom melody and if you are having a hard time composing it yourself you may submit a melody request and hopefully somebody will help you with this. On the other hand if you know how to create melodies and feel passionate about helping people to fulfill their dreams feel free to pick up and solve any melody request from the list.
We've also added Online Store page where you can order best DIY Music Box Kits from Amazon.
Besides that we've fixed some bugs and started the process of automated testing. This should improve stability of the service.

We've reversed note order in the editor. Notes are coming from the bottom to the top now which is the same order as most common music editors and music box kits have. Right click on the editor field now sets playback start offset. It could be very useful if you are making a long melody. Special thanks to Mia who had pointed to these things! Or btw check out the full screen toggle button at the top left corner.
We have 3 types of emails notification now: personal, global activity feed and news. Personal notifications are related to your own stuff: for example when someone likes your melody or leave a comment at your profile. Global activity notifications are sending daily and disabled by default. News notifications are sending weekly in case if we have something to announce. Please check your notification settings in the profile.
We are happy to announce you our new notification system! Once someone posts a comment or votes for your melody you'll notice this in navigation menu - there is a special notifications icon that points to an appropriate section in your profile. Oh, by the way, we've slightly changed profile page template.
Upload your own avatar or use a default one from gravatar.com. We also have a new layout on the people page!
We've added news feeds. All interesting events are displaying on the home page now. And don't forget to check user feeds in profiles!
Now we are supporting export to Grand Illusions Large Music Box Set and 30 Note Music Box Set paper strips! Large (20 note) music box is diatonic. 30 note music box set has a range of just over 3 octaves, but in addition it plays a scale that is mostly chromatic. Special thanks to thorseht2010 who can help you with some custom music box melodies! Don't forget to check out existing melodies of these types or create your own! Hooray!
You can use your favourite music editor to create music box melodies. Just save them as MIDI files and upload using Settings → Import tab in MBM melody editor. Isn't it nice? Even more - you can specify any MIDI file URL from another web site and convert this MIDI to Kikkerland 15 note music box kit paper stripes!
Print out any melody to use it as Kikkerland Make Your Own Music Box Kit source. There is a special melody type called Kikkerland 15 with correct notes layout for this. You can export any type of melody to this format but keep in mind that this music box is very limited with notes so we are strongly recommend to check melodies or even clone them and change the type to K15 before exporting, printing and cutting any holes.
