Melodies

GI30 60 43

A.I. Generated melody. Prompt: I have a great-great grandmother who lived around the 1750's. When she was young, she had this music box, which she would play endlessly. It was a simple, comforting and melancholic melody of about 2 minutes, and the whole song was playable within two c octaves. It was a slow, almost dreamy tune. It might have been based on a waltz but I don't remember. She used to dance to it, so it had a steady rythm, although some parts were a bit more rubato. It reminds me of modern songs like 'once upon a december', although mostly because it is a music box and it sounds somewhat sad. I imagine if I heard it now, it would somehow sound familiar, even though I've never heard it before. What might that melody have sound like, I wonder, what would the musix box sheet music have looked like, I wonder?
