to answer your question about MIDI, I for one don't use them. i'm trying to stimulate myself by making them by hand. such a cool hobby.

Exactly. MIDIs take away the "soul" of a song (for me at least). And yeah, it is much, much more fun to learn by ear instead. :D

when we compose the arrangement, in the settings, there is a field called melody type.
by in my settings, it is always full range 60. what is that for?

@Silent It's just full range 60 by default--you can change it, if you want. By shifting around the arrangement some, you should be able to get it to fit into whichever range you choose. ^^
