"Why?"
"Why would they mention you? How did they know you, if you didn't know them?"
"Why?"
"It's one thing being called at an odd hour of the night. It's another being told that someone died. It's something hardly fathomable that whoever they were knew you, and you were the only one mentioned in the will."
"It's something so unsettling to go to a funeral for someone you don't know. It's disturbing being handed the deed to a house for someone you never met. It's weird reading the name on the mail box that doesn't mean a thing to you. It's odd for this not to be a misunderstanding. It's strange knowing that this person has been in the hospital for three years with not a soul inside their house. yet there's not a speck of dust to be found. All the rooms are reasonably bare. You head upwards, to what would be an attic. Where what should be boxes of things long forgotten. Is a library, at least two stories tall. with numerous amounts of oddities.

I hope everyone's having a good day!

Hole punch paper strips Export

Hey! It looks like this melody can be played offline on a 20 note paper strip music box!

All you need to do is:

  1. Get a 20 note DIY Music Box Kit from our online store page if you don't have one
  2. Export the melody to PDF with paper strips, print it out and cut with scissors. Make sure to use the right paper size and set you printer scale to 100%, otherwise the size won't match. It's better when paper strips are thick, so if you are going to use thin office paper, we recommend you to glue two or three layers together. Another option is to laminate paper strips with a transparent duct tape
  3. Punch holes with a tool from the music box kit
  4. Enjoy your favorite melody playing on a real music box!

I really like this melody! You chose an excellent story to go with it too. It reads like it's worthy of novel!

I agree! Are you going to write more of this or is it done. It's awesome either way!

Also, your "I hope everyone's having a good day!"-stamp really caught me off guard in this one XD

Thank-you, guys! I don't really feel satisfied with most of the stuff I do, but I feel good about this melody. "Solace" means to find comfort in a time of distress. If that gives an idea to the rest of the story. I hope to do another melody telling more of the story, but I might not do all of it. I really wanted to continue the mirror one, but what I was planning would have been 30 or more melodies long so I stopped and started continuing it on quotev. My main focus has been with Monachopsis. Soon it will be what i'll consider done. It's been easy to write for me, I don't really understand why.
It's a little funny because i'll reread what I write and it sometimes catches me off guard too! XD

I like this melody a lot! And I'm with Helena, the little stamp threw me for a loop at first, haha! Great job.
