I'm a newbie, and I was excited, so I accidently overlapped the end part of a strip to the beginning of the next, and now when I try to crank normally, it won't work. THe paper stays and the crank keeps going and makes a clicking noise. Please help!
I'd like to convert my original songs to music box version and distribute the music box version. Is it possible to upload the musix box version to commercial audio platforms like spotify and amazon music without licensing problems?
Hello guys! it's the first time, I just bought a DIY music box, someone is kind enough to help me create "the most fragile star in the universe" by Ultimo? or can you explain to me how to do it?
Recently stumbled upon a music box my deceased grandma owned. I've been trying to look it up but can't find it anywhere. There's a plack on the back that says "Christmas Eve Collection Joy 'White Christmas' Limited Edition 9,950 Heritage House" The music box plays White Christmas and have a doll with a green dress sitting on top and moves when the music plays.
Any history behind this or dates would be greatly appreciated! :)
I am noticing there isn't a great place on the internet to discuss troubleshooting problems that people have with DIY boxes, save for a couple posts on this forum. I'm having some issues with all three of the 30 note boxes I own--seems like the two replacements I ordered both got damaged during transit :(
Here's what I'm thinking: what if there was a troubleshooting guide somewhere on this website that outlined common problems and suggested ways to fix them? Maybe a subset of this forum page (and if we wanted to go further with that, maybe forum posts could be sorted into categories so it would be easier to find what you're looking for).
Or: do any of you know a good place to look for tips on troubleshooting DIY music box issues?
If you're reading this and happen to know a lot about how the 30 note mechanism works, please let me know if you can help and I'll outline the problems I'm having with each of my boxes.
This has always been a problem for me: I had to buy a new roll of music box paper which is from a different brand than my music box (both are thirty note paper though) when I ran out of the paper that came with my music box. When playing with the paper that came with my music box, everything sounds fine including the gears, but when playing with the new paper, the gears make this loud grindy sound and it's hard to wind. I've noticed that the new paper is thicker than the old paper, so that might have something to do with this problem. Is there something wrong with my gears, the paper, or something else? I really don't want to resort to getting new paper because that new roll costs $30...
