Hi! I'm a long time user of this site and I'm so glad it exists, but there's one thing bothering me: landscape A4 paper can fit just about 3 lines of 30 notes music paper, however, the pdf exports has margins that makes the prints only 2 lines tall, leaving a huge margin at the bottom.
I’ve been working on a piece of music for music box, and realized partway through how much of a hassle it would be for me to punch out the holes to the precision I would need. Instead, I developed a python script to create dxf files for me to laser cut.
This script should be able to work with any of the paper strip music boxes on the market by just editing the global variables at the top of the script. The rest of the instructions are on the github page!
Hey everyone, I just joined the community. I did a search, but couldn't find an answer here. I have a 30-note programmable music box, but I seem to have misplaced my hole puncher for it. Can someone tell me the diameter of the circular holes? I need to find a new paper puncher that makes the correct size of holes for the programming.
I visited a profile after sigining up to this site i wont link it here but a scan on https://websafe.online/YSGBBD.html says that his profile page is infected with a PHISH LINK EMBEDED ON THE PAGE so if you visit ppls profiles avoid "Mr. Music" they have several accounts seemingly the same IP address when i ran wireshark on it. Norton Pro detected the phishing link on the page and thankfully i use NORD VPN but it would be nice if this malicious user was removed from the site and couldnt keep posting phishing links .
You may remember that I made a general music box guide quite some time ago - it's still on the front page. Ad I'm back with more.
After helping someone getting started with arranging a song I got the idea to create a guide on how to arrange songs for a music box. And while writing this and talking about sheet music, I also realized that not everyone would be familiar with the basics of sheet music and other basic music theory concepts. So I wrote simple guide for that too, just to cover enough basics.
I reached out to MusicBoxRox to ask if he too had some more ideas, and he also added to the arrangement guide with experiences and idea of his own.
I'd like to start recording my music box melodies and need a microphone for that, but I'm completely clueless to what kind of microphone works best for recording music box sounds. I am thinking on buying a largediaphragm condenser microphone (the Maono AU-PM422), but from my research, largediaphragm microphones are usually optimized for voices, not instruments. Does anyone have any experience when it comes to that or can even reccomend an affordable one?
I am looking for an Adobe Illustrator template for combining cricut sheets together? Can you help and advice me eventually with an example. Thank you very much in advance
