I liked that it had little themes that came back throughout the piece. That helped it feel more cohesive as a song rather than a bunch of notes.

Composing is hard! That's why you see me arrange existing songs more than posting my originals. Ideas are easy--you really only need 3 notes to make a musical idea, but the hard part is making that into a song that makes sense. I would suggest taking a couple notes together that you like, and then repeat that pattern again, but perhaps on different notes. That's a common trick to come up with themes that is used in songs everywhere.

Hi! I just went through your entire collection and found so many I like. I was wondering if the melodies with only a number as the title are original compositions? I was trying to place a few with no luck.

Hey there! I'm so glad you enjoyed so many. The melodies with a number as the title are some of my private commissions---MBM doesn't have a private function that allows for mp3 exporting, so that's one of the ways I get around it. I do have a couple original compositions with " - Original" in the title, but they're all from a long time ago!
