Has anyone experienced the paper jamming when using the motorised 30 note music mechanism from China? Any ideas how to make it grab better? one needs to pull it through to help it it work. I've seen some people use these and it works fine.
I found a music box in my home, I'm not sure where it came from and I'v never seen it before. The top of the box pictures two little girls with black bows in their hair wearing dresses and one plus holding a bouquet of flowers

I recently purchased the Wingostore 30-note music box from Amazon. The gears are copper and I felt that getting this would last longer and be more durable than the Grand Illusions plastic gears, and likely prevent slippage. Unfortunately after a very short period of time, my gears are making a squeaking noise after every revolution.
Has anyone else experienced this with the copper gear models, and is there a good way to fix this? Is it better to just get the Grand Illusions music box instead?
My music box (K15) works fine and doesn’t stop as much on the paper sold with the box but I wanted to try to make a longer one using regular paper and ‘laminating’ it with tape. The tape makes it so that the puller will just slide over it and not properly pull the paper? Any suggestions to help me fix it?
Hi guys! So i recently input a song into the online music box melody editor and i noticed some red 'X's ; i understand that those are repetitive notes positioned too close to each other and music boxes may not be able to play them. But is there a way to rectify it? like changing its position but simultaneously not affecting its melody etc? I do not have any music background so I'm quite confused and do not know how to make it work. Would really appreciate any help!! Thank you in advance!
Hello, I have a question maybe stupid but I'm new here. I have a 15 notes music box and I have a 104 holes paper strips as everyone I guess. I find some songs but there are too longs in terms of paper; have for example 96 notes but need 120 holes for did that. Here an example: https://musicboxmaniacs.com/explore/melody/we-wish-you-a-merry-christmas_2248/ Exist a way to reduce that for fit the music to 104 holes? Maybe I bought the worng paper... Thank you very much really :)
Hi - Me and my 10yo daughter are trying to convert a morse code message we have (wav file) into a music box melody for a project we're doing together - and would like to know whether this would actually work, as far to say that it's only one note/sound so to speak output as dots and dashes. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
