Does anyone know how long a Kikkerland 15 strip is? Not in dimensions, but in the measurement this site uses for length. For example: when you create a melody on this site, the default length is 256, or 32 measures of 4/4 time.
I have researched endlessly for a music box that will allow me to select my song without any availability. Is there anyone on this forum that actually makes customized music boxes?
The original MIDI file was in Eb minor, and I shift it into Bb minor with Sibelius, but when I created a piece of work on MUSCIBOXMANIACS importing the modified MIDI file, it changed into Eb minor, I want to how I can change the tonality correctly? I guess each note in modified MIDI file wasn't changed, I just changed the tonality of the MIDI, and the website just extracted the original pitch.
Hello all. I am new to this site and decided to join due to my love of Music boxes and my recent desire to start creating them. Eventually Imma try and create cylinders due to their compactness however this is an obvious start point. I wanted to make a couple projects but both projects would close off the music box. Making it Impossible to Re-Feed the paper through when the song finishes. Im curious if anyone has found a way to circumvent having to re-feed. Or maybe theres a completely different way that I'm not thinking of? I'm sorry this post is slightly scattered but I appreciate any help you guys can give. Thank you.
So Im trying to create a music box I have no experience with music or anything else. I only had one music box in my life and its sadly broken and I dont know if there exist modern job which repairs it. so I decided I would recreate it in a better form. I was thinking putting it in a wooden chest but the problem wouldnt that dampen the music? Do you guys have any tip I would be really really thankfull
I punched a few songs out, and have really been enjoying it. As of recently, it seems like the music box is tending to "skip" or "stutter" when playing songs. The gears will continue to move, but it appears that the paper stops moving for about half a second, then it picks back up. It's almost like it loses its "grip" on the paper (but I can't figure out why that would be)
Has anyone seen any similar issues to this? Anyone know what's going on?
